DCS Touch Display

The profile-integrated smartphone for the door – door communication and access control in one module

The Schüco DCS Touch Display is a multifunctional, design-oriented module for secure door communication and access control.

Open and flexible: The open communication standard means that the system can be connected to different external end devices.

The Schüco DCS Touch Display combines the latest technology with timeless design. The flush-fitted installation of the module in the door profile, together with the touchscreen and a high-quality black glass surface, give the unit a classy appearance.

Thanks to its intuitive menu guide similar to a smartphone, the Schüco DCS Touch Display is just as easy to use as a smartphone.

Fabrication and installation could not be easier as only one cable is used for energy and communication transfer.

Clear web interface for configuring settings for door communication and access control

  • Minimal cabling required thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE): one PoE cable takes on the full energy and communication transfer
  • Simple fabrication: Identical recessing for all modules of the Schüco Door Control System (DCS) ensures flexible and uniform flush installation in the Schüco DCS profile; only one machined recess is necessary in the profile, making fabrication quick and easy
  • Fast, cost-effective approval on site thanks to integrated test mode
  • Remote access to the system possible with internet connection: fast, easy response to customer requests and requirements

The Touch Display combines access control using a numerical code with door communication. The display is controlled using a touchscreen. The individual functions are called up by swiping to the side. In operating mode, the house number is displayed. Using the integrated sensors, the house number switches to the doorbell list or, alternatively, access entry when a person approaches.

Touch Display module:
– Integration of loudspeaker and microphone in one module, in addition to display and touch unit.
– Screen size: 4.3 inches
– Automatic regulation of display brightness
– Module can be used outside, safety class IP 54 when installed
– Installation options in DCS profile, panel or surface-mounted. Profile installation allows for installation in door frame or door leaf.
– Option to connect up an external loudspeaker and microphone
– Energy supply with PoE+
– Integrated webserver for administration and set-up
– Test mode and basic settings possible directly on installed display
– Integrated image memory that can be (de)activated
– Self-calibrating touchscreen
– IK impact resistance at least IK 06
– Inputs/outputs allow connection, for example, of external motion detectors or locks / electric strikes
– Attachment of a switchbox possible. This can be used to control the lock from the protected inside area.
– Software update via webserver
– Multilingual webserver
– Transfer independent of bandwidth (low bandwidth, video quality is reduced)
– Update capability ensures additional future functions

Door communication / communication:
– SIP client with integrated, optional commend audio core.
– Functions: Re-sampling, AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation), background noise suppression and noise gate.
– Call features: auto transfer, peer-to-peer calls, video calls
– Communication: SIP protocol support, DTMF support (SIP info, RTP), SIP re-invite, SIP early media support
– Supported audio codecs: G.711 PCM
– The video transfer supports the standard process H.263/H.263+/H.264 MPEG-4/AVC and Motion-JPEG.
– > 500 call destinations
– Visual display of call destinations possible with image. Image can be customised
– Scrollable doorbell list (>4 call destinations)
– Alphabetical sorting of call list by either first name or surname
– Individual sorting options possible

Access control
– Choice of 4 or 6-digit code entry
– Number field can be rotating or fixed
– User entries >500 entries
– Assignment of access authorisation possible by weekday and time of day

– Up to 4 digits for house number

– Mechanical theft protection
– Sensor-monitored theft protection. Alarm is triggered if unit is tilted too far
– Unpermitted removal of the display breaks the LAN connection to the inside of the building
– Encrypted communication between switchbox and Touch Display
