Ventilation System VentoFrame

Self-regulating window ventilator integrated in the outer frame for a healthy indoor climate without mould growth

In many buildings, air exchange through leaks such as joints is often not enough to supply the building and its users with sufficient fresh air. The modular concept of Schüco VentoFrame offers a flexible system with a variable number of ventilators, to ensure operator-independent, controlled air exchange that is adapted to suit the room use.

Schüco VentoFrame is installed in the outer frame profile, whereby almost fully concealed integration in the window unit is ensured.

Thanks to a self-regulating outer flap, Schüco VentoFrame reacts independently to changes in wind pressure on and around the building, ensuring a continuous exchange of air without troublesome draughts.

Schüco VentoFrame impresses as an interesting creative and cost-effective solution for newbuilds and renovations. In this way, simple ventilation concepts can be implemented with low investment costs.

PREVIEW SPECIFICATION

Schüco VentoFrame

Thermally broken ventilator with self-regulating ventilation flap for integrated installation into recesses in the upper horizontal outer frame profile / extension profile.

Adapters allow the ventilators to be altered for the required basic depth. Inflowing external air is diverted into the interior of the room by directing the air flow underneath the ceiling of the residence. In the event of high wind speeds, the outer ventilator flap automatically regulates the inflowing air so that no draughts occur. The maximum air supply into the interior can be manually limited in four stages via the flap profile.

The flap profile on the inside and the drip protection bar on the outside span the entire width of the window and conceal the individual plastic ventilators. The grating inserted on the inside acts as a flyscreen and can be removed for cleaning. There is the option to insert pollen protection in place of the flyscreen.

An additional sound reduction attachment can be combined with the ventilator to improve the sound reduction properties.

Material:
Ventilator: black plastic
Flap profile and drip protection bar: mill finish aluminium (coatable)
End caps: black plastic

Operating options:
Flap profile, operating rod or pull cord

Fabrication data block:
Minimum face width of the necessary outer frame / extension profile: 74 mm
Necessary recess in the outer frame profile per ventilator: 277 mm x 48.5 mm
Installation depth: 50 mm – 184 mm

Tests* and standards

Ventilator sound reduction Dn,e,w (C;Ctr), closed: 43 (-1;-2) dB
Ventilator sound reduction with sound reduction attachment D n,e,w (C;Ctr), open: 40 (0;-1) dB
Ventilator sound reduction with sound reduction attachment D n,e,w (C;Ctr), closed: 49 (-1;-3) dB

Volume flow key values in accordance with EN 13141-1
Air flow per ventilator at 2 / 4 / 8 Pa 5.8 / 10.0 / 13.7 m3/h
Air flow per ventilator with sound reduction attachment at 2 / 4 / 8 Pa 4.7 / 6.1 / 8.6 m3/h

Tested in combination with windows in accordance with DIN EN 14351-1
Watertightness and air permeability of joints are classified in accordance with DIN EN 12207 and DIN EN 12208: watertightness guaranteed up to 600 Pa when open and closed.

*Test values are valid for AWS 75.SI+ and were determined without pollen filters.
