Maximum energy efficiency and a wide variety of design options for roof glazing

The all-rounder for roof glazing: with two thermal insulation standards, outer frames of different heights and attractive design options, the Schüco AWS 57 RO (Roof) window system can be used as a roof window almost anywhere – including in the building automation system.

The easy-to-install system provides proven system reliability in sophisticated skylight constructions with the Schüco mullion/transom façades and Schüco add-on constructions as well as in combination with the Schüco CMC 50 conservatory system.

Schüco AWS 57 RO, thermally insulated aluminium roof window system
For use in pitched roofs with a pitch in excess of 7°

Design features:
The thermally insulated outer frame is fixed into the glazing rebate of the skylight construction.
Hinged cleats (trapezoidal, etc.) are used for corners that are not 90°.

The insert unit must be designed with a “high / low” outer frame and as a thermally insulated / highly thermally insulated (.HI) model.

The vent frame must be designed with a visible screw fixing and continuous frame / flat seal and U-shaped frame.

The vent frame must be designed with a concealed screw fixing and continuous frame / flat seal and U-shaped frame.

The vent frame must be designed with a high cover cap and continuous frame / stepped glazing and U-shaped frame.

Drainage is via the outer chamber directly on the roof level. The vapour pressure is equalised via the glazing rebate base in the transom rebate of the roof construction.

The vent frames are sealed by means of an external, an internal and an additional centre gasket level.

The rebate area is completely covered by an externally bevelled glazing pressure plate on both sides.

Hinges from the system are concealed and fixed in place by means of sliding blocks. Opening angles of up to 90° are possible.

The concealed linear / chain / manual actuators for operating the vents are described separately.

Burglar resistance must be RC 2 (WK2).
The maximum vent weight is 120 kg, with a maximum size of 2.73 m²
