Schüco ASS 77 PD.HI, combined thermally insulated aluminium/GRP sliding window system with mechatronic drive
Optionally with 200 mm or 300 mm basic frame depth for maximum transparency and light penetration
Design features:
Outer frame
Aluminium outer frame with thermal break (PA insulating bars). The outer frame is fitted with two roller profiles which can be mitred using precision corner cleats.
The outer frames are available pre-rolled by Schüco from Schüco. The half profiles are coated first and then rolled. Possible types of coating: anodising and powder coating.
For fast delivery and fabrication times, an outer frame that has already been coated black is available from stock – the precise colour code is RAL 9005 matt.
The colour of this double-track outer frame is perfectly coordinated to adjacent building components such as glazing gaskets and insulating bars, and is therefore barely visible. Visible surface at front approx. 8 mm.
Vent profiles
The very narrow polyamide vent profiles are bonded directly to the insulating glass unit in accordance with the system specifications and subsequently form a structural unit. The unit can optionally be designed with vent profiles for double and triple glazing. It must be ensured that the glass edge seal is compatible with the vent profiles. For optimum bonding, the seal must be cleaned with a surface activator.
Vent weights of up to 500 kg are possible.
Interlock section
The interlock section is designed using GRP interlock profiles (glass fibre-reinforced plastic), which are covered by aluminium cover caps in the visible area. The interlock section is sealed by means of a unique, fully-integrated interlock section seal (Schüco USP) which is mechanically triggered by means of a spring when the moveable vent reaches the closed position.
Self-adhesive centre gaskets that could become damaged in the threshold area are purposely not used in this system. The gaskets are configured in such a way that they cannot be seen by the observer.
Profile basic depths:
Outer frame 200 mm, double-track
300 mm, triple-track
Vent frame 77 mm
Profile face widths:
Outer frame Can be varied in accordance with installation location, concealed in the building structure.
Outer frame height of 150 mm (not visible), including the integrated mechatronic locking and drive technology.
Vent frame Fully concealed, integrated flush in the frame construction.
Face width in the centre section from 37 mm in the interlock section.
Energy: Thermal insulation: from Uw = 1.0 W/(m²K)
Maximum dimensions: Vent dimensions (W x H): up to max. 3200 mm x 3500 mm
Vent profile version 1: For glass thicknesses from 26 mm to 40 mm
Vent profile version 2: For glass thicknesses from 46 mm to 60 mm
Opening types:
Automation: Flexible selection of the operating concept: The sliding window can be operated using the following units:
External control panel – touchscreen
Wall-mounted switch
BUS system / KNX system coupling
DCS – Door Control System (Schüco building automation)
Drive and locking Concealed, profile-integrated automatic drive and locking technology.
For service and maintenance purposes, the drive installed in the vertical outer frame can be accessed at all times from the inside via the outer frame and is elegantly concealed by a cover profile.
The highest level of convenience with fully automatic operation without a dead man’s switch (with the so-called dead man’s switch, the momentary-contact switch must be held down for opening).
Fully automatic operation is available from Schüco in series and up to safety class SK 4.
Note: To be able to estimate the potential danger which could arise from a power-operated window, and to enable the requisite protective measures to be taken, a risk assessment (e.g. in accordance with VFF data sheet KB.01: 2008-12) must be undertaken at the design stage. For further information on how to proceed, see the latest version of the sliding systems order manual 1-5B.
Security: Burglar resistance to class RC 2 in accordance with DIN V ENV 1627.
Automatic load and resistance recognition by software.
Securing of the danger zones using security sensors and sensor strips (depending on the opening type).
As standard, system-based securing of the secondary closing edges and the interlock section against accidental hand trapping during closing.
Manually operated unlocking in series using a special tool from the inside.
Enhanced functions: Replacement of rollers without dismantling the moving vent.
Complete panoramic view, the vent profile is fitted flush in the outer frame.
The integrated interlock section seal is fully integrated into the profile (USP), self-adhesive gasket components are not required in the outer frame (brush seal).
Fully automatic operation by means of a conventional wall-mounted switch, touchpad, DCS module or mobile end device (iPhone) is possible.
